Energylandia, the Largest Amusement Park in Poland

07 May 2024

Energylandia, the largest amusement park in Poland, is not only a destination for family vacations. Any free day is a great opportunity to go there and experience the thrill of fun!

Opened in 2014 in Zator, Energylandia is the largest amusement park in Poland, covering about 70 hectares. It offers several roller coasters, including two hyper coasters, and more than 130 attractions in seven thematic zones. Since 2016, the Energylandia Water Park has also been available.

Where is Energylandia, the Largest Amusement Park in Poland?

Energylandia is located in the south of Poland in Zator, in the Lesser Poland region. It takes less than half an hour to reach from Katowice and Krakow, and it is only about 20 kilometers from Wadowice and Auschwitz. Energylandia is just under 80 km from the Vistula River. Thus, being in the Silesian Beskids, it is also possible to reach this amusement park in just over an hour. The park's location makes it easily accessible from many regions of Poland.

Energylandia and Its Attractions

Energylandia in Zator is a true entertainment paradise, where everyone, regardless of age, will find something to enjoy.

For the youngest guests, there is Fairyland, a magical world where little ones can meet their favorite fairy tale characters and enjoy safe carousels and mini coasters. Families can spend time together in the Family Zone, full of exciting roller coasters and water attractions that provide excellent fun.

For those looking for intense sensations, the Extreme Zone is prepared with the largest and fastest roller coasters in Poland, including the impressive Hyperion and Water Coaster Speed, offering both speed and height.

In the summer, guests can immerse themselves in the exotic atmosphere of the Water Park, a tropical island full of slides and relaxation spots, perfect for cooling off on hot days. Here, everyone will find something for themselves, from adrenaline-pumping slides to lazy moments under an umbrella.

An interesting attraction is the Dragon Fort, inspired by a fantasy world with the monumental Zadra roller coaster, the tallest wooden coaster in the world, attracting fans of epic adventures. The recently opened Aqualantis is a watery realm full of mysteries, where one can explore the underwater world, and Sweet Valley is a sweet kingdom with attractions ideal for those who love sweets.

Energylandia is also the center of numerous events, educational workshops, and shows that make every visit an unforgettable experience full of magic and attractions.

What Are the Roller Coasters at Energylandia?

In 2024, Energylandia boasted as many as 19 operating roller coasters. For the youngest, an attraction included Frutti Loop – a children’s roller coaster made by SBF Visa, opened in August 2014, reaching a height of 3.7 meters and a speed of 21.6 km/h. For those looking for more thrill, the park offered Mayan, a steel inverted roller coaster from 2015, whose tracks rise to 33.3 meters and trains speed up to 80 km/h.

One of the most thrilling attractions was Hyperion, a steel hyper coaster launched in 2018, reaching a height of 77 meters and a speed of 142 km/h, becoming one of the main attractions of the park. Even more adrenaline was offered by Zadra, a hybrid hyper coaster from 2019, whose highest point was at 62.8 meters and the maximum speed reached 121 km/h. Abyssus, an impressive multi-launched roller coaster by Vekoma, opened in 2021, provided rides at a height of 38.5 meters with speeds reaching 100 km/h.

Is Energylandia Zator Open All Year?

Unfortunately, Energylandia in Zator is not open all year round. It is best to check the park's calendar before planning a visit. During the winter period, Energylandia is closed. It opens at the end of April and operates until the end of September, sometimes a few days longer.

Energylandia Accommodation in the Mountains, Why Not?

A trip to Energylandia can be combined with a stay in the mountains, especially since the Beskids are almost a stone's throw from Zator. When planning a trip from central or northern Poland, it is worth stopping by Energylandia, and after a day full of experiences, heading to Wisła for the night.

Wisła is a town that not only offers beautiful views and pleasant walks. It is a place where various cultures and beliefs mix. Every year, the Festival of Beskid Culture is held here, attracting folkloric groups from all over the world. Wisła is also the host of the largest literary festival in Poland, Granatowe Góry.

As for accommodations, Wisła has a rich offer. Noteworthy is the Hotel Vestina, located in a picturesque and quiet district of the town. From its windows, there is a view of the Cieńków ridge. Guests can relax in the garden, splash in the pool, and enjoy grilled dishes.
